Our School

“Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6

St. John’s Christian Day school was started in 1995 with 5 children. It has since grown to have about 15 children each year. The school teaches children in kindergarten through 8th grade.

our purpose

Since it’s conception, St. John’s has put its focus on a Christ-centered education bringing Christ into all the subjects. Religion at St. John’s is not just a single class—it is the foundation of our entire philosophy of education. We teach our K-8 students that they have a beautiful reason to learn and develop their God-given talents.

Science and Math

We explore God's highly orderly and awe-inspiring creation.

Social Sciences

We study God's continual, guiding work in the history and affairs of the world around us.

Language Arts

We learn to communicate effectively so we can share God’s Word of peace and promise with others.

membership

St. John’s Church and School are members of the Church of the Lutheran Confession (CLC), which is a Bible-based confessional Lutheran synod. While several of the students in our school belong to our church, church membership is not required for enrollment. Our school is open to any students who would like to come.

school activities

St. John’s School participates in a variety of activities each year. The students participate in basketball tournaments, plays and/or musicals, and field day to name a few.

Parent Resources

We consider our Christian education to be the most complete education available, but we know that a school cannot take the place of the home.

The primary responsibility for raising a child rests with you, the parents. St. John’s is here to uphold and reinforce the values you teach at home. We ask our families to take an active part in their child’s education, to support regular church attendance, and to foster a deep love for God’s Word within the family. Together, we can provide the strongest possible foundation for your child.
